LIABILTY STUDY
science term has
been worn since period formerly until now. even before there science
word has been known words others which intended same like:
cleverness, skill, capability, etc. and now by development has been
named science. Science is one of thing that must owned everybody in
the world. By science we can be better people, in our life its so
important and we need it, because with science we can do everything
who we want.
What is science ?
Many expert opinion about it. According to Dr. Sheldon Gottlieb in a
lecture series at the university of south Albama, “science is an
intellectual activity carried on by humans that is designed to
discover information about the natural world in which humans live and
to discover the ways in which this information can be organized into
meaningful patterns. A primary aim of science is to collect facts
(data). An ultimate purpose of science is to discern the order that
exists between and amongst the various facts.”
According to Robert
H. Dott, Jr., and Henry L. Batten, Evolution
of the Earth
(2nd edition) “Science consists simply of the formulation and
testing of hypotheses based on observational evidence; experiments
are important where applicable, but their function is merely to
simplify observation by imposing controlled conditions.”
According to
Indonesian language dictionary third edition “ilmu adalah
pengetahuan atau kepandaian”. It means science is knowledge and
cleverness.
From the three
opinion on, we can conclude that science constitute collection
knowledge who composed systematically by using certain method and can
stated process of thinking and analysis who rational, systematic and
consistent.
So how does the
important to demand it. Because by science we can know everything in
the world. If we have not science it means nothing we know and its
world will hollow cause of no people have not science.
Therefore
importantly the science we have obligation for get it. It can get
everywhere and every time. In Islam, our prophet mohamad SAW said:
“looking science until china ” it means as far as whatever that
we must look it, although in china. Beside that Allah SWT explained
in holy Quran by one verse reduce to Rasullah at al-A’laq 1-5 verse
that is : “ Iqra’ ” the meaning is “read” we must read
everything in the world, by read we can know all of thing and we get
science. Its really important science until God explained in
Al-quran.
What kind of science
we must study? There are several kinds of science. According to
Al-Ghazali one of ulama, He divide science two part that is:
- Science that related to aqidah and obligatory religious service. Everyone have obligation to deepens that science. This low’s is fardhu ain
- Science that related to space public, for example: medical science, sociology science, computer and etc. not everybody have obligatory study that, several persons that study it enough . this low’s is fardhu kipayah.
Otherwise there also
science classification that is:
- Positive science is science who can give benefit and use, not impair everybody. For example: mathematic science, astronomy, philosophy, biology, theology and etc.
- Negative science is the contrary from positive science, that is who can not give benefit, use and can impair everybody. The example like: black magic, pellet science, witchcraft and etc.
As human that given
mind, we must can distinguish which good and bad from what we do.
by science we will get what are we want and many advantage who we get
such us: popular, respected, honorable, socialize with anybody and
etc. on the other hand, if have not science will made stupid,
looked down on, buried, always blamed, not socialize and etc.
So , The conclusion is science it
so important for our life and we has liability study. If to compare
people who has it included the rich person, because wuth science we
can get everything we want. Even though people who doesn’t that
science it include the poor person, and its very lost.
